ME AND TAI CHI

In 1978, I was involved in an accident in which my lower back was injured. For two months I was bedbound, as instructed by doctors, only moving for essential purposes. For 14 years I lived a "normal" life, like everyone else, although 5-6 times a year, for 10-14 days I was immobilized as a result of severe pain and could not function normally.  I was then working in a different field and thought "that's life". I didn't want to undergo any complicated surgery and also avoided medication to ease the pain. Fifteen years ago was the first time I came across Tai Chi. I was very enamored and enthusiastic about it With regular daily exercise, I saw a  constant improvementWith daily regular training and devoting time, I found the pain lessening and I was able to live normally. With time I saw that life could be different and I could take responsibility for it.

I became more of an expert in the field and left my previous work in the film industry. Tai Chi became my new profession. I saw from my personal experience, that I could teach people simple things from the world of Tai Chi, thus improving their quality of life - by devoting a few minutes daily to themselves , only to yourself and not the people around you and your work. When we feel good with ourselves, we have a positive effect on the people around us. The circle expands but everyone must be for himself and for himself only

I have been working in this field, with much enjoyment, for many years now, I teach private groups, elderly people(through Tai Chi falls are prevented),different organizations including Hi-Tech. Everywhere I try and make people more aware that life can be easier and better, if only they know how to take care of themselves, by devoting time to themselves.

I would like to compare the body with a car engine. It is unlikely that the car will malfunction and we will not deal with it. We will get a mechanic immediately and do everything possible to ensure the car moves, even incurring big expenses in order to make the necessary repairs.  Sometimes we may even open a savings account in order to buy a new car.

Can't we spend a few minutes every day on our "engine"?A few minutes, only a few minutes daily are required- thus maintaining our "engine" This is my way of transferring my knowledge to others. In other articles I will show what is Tai Chi and Chi Kong and how to integrate them into our everyday life.  Tai Chi is suitable for everyone. One can exercise everywhere, at every age. We are thus not  dependent on anyone but ourselves. Consequently, we will take responsibility for our health and well-being.
